Ravyn is two months old

My Garden

My topsie turvy that C.R. bought me for my bday. You can grow a tomato plant upside down. If you know me you know how much I love fresh garden tomatoes!!

I have really been missing the fresh veggies that come with living on a farm so c.r. made me a raised bed garden so I could grow some things this summer. I have a variety of tomatoe plants, two different kinds of cucumbers, and some summer squash. I also have some pots on the front porch with a variety of peppers, broccolli, and cauliflower.

My Flowers

These are my wine and roses plant that used to be in my flower beds. I moved them to around the tree because I wanted to buy minature roses this year. The minature roses were so pretty and they reminded me how much my mom loved roses. I am so glad I got them they are blooming a ton of buds everyday.
One of my hanging baskets.

The flower boxes under my windows look like this one. So Pretty!!

I have minature roses and I can't remember the name of this bush but it is yellow now and will change to green in late summer and then in the fall it turns red.

Pink minature roses.

Red minature roses

When mama was here helping us during c.r.'s illness we were able to get my flowers planted. They are so pretty I love looking at them.

My silly little boy.

After taking max's p.j.'s off of saturday to let him run around in just a diaper......he found a new use for his pants. He wore his new "hat" for a good hour. In the bottom picture you can see his first skinned knee.

Playtime with sissy

Maximus loves playing with his little sister. This is one of their favorite toys to play with together. It is a little playmat that lays on the floor with toys that dangle overhead.

Terrible Two?!?!

I took a picture of maximus in full blown melt down mode so that I could show it to any future girlfriends. Do you think the terrible two's have started ????

Swine Flu!

I am sure most of you have heard but yes C.R. did have the swine flu. He traveled to phoenix for a surgical conference and the last night there they went to a Mexican Rodeo/Ranch where they had a large arena with bull riding and etc. We're not sure where he picked it up whether it be on the plane, at the conference, or at the rodeo. So far he is the only one from OSU that went and contracted the virus. He was in the hospital for two days and then quarantined at home with the rest of us for a week. His mom flew in to help us out, which we are very grateful for. No one else in the family caught the virus either. We would like to thank all of our family and friends for keeping us in their thoughts and prayers we truly believe that is what got us through this with no more complications than what we had. He is back to his old self again. He is still actively helping the CDC. He had a a conference call with several people on saturday because they want to do some studies and more blood work with him and the people he was in contact with that did not get the virus.
