Florida Visit

We traveled to florida a couple of weeks ago. Daddy had a job interview and they flew the kids and I down too. Here are some pics of max playing in Uncle jim and Auntie Lou Lou's backyard. He can get quite dirty but I guess that is normal. He is definately all boy!

Winter has arrived in Ohio

Winter has arrived in Ohio. We hate winters but it does give me a good excuse to dress ravyn up really cute.

Daddy Passed his written boards!!

We just got the news in the last week that daddy has officially passed his written boards and not only did he pass but he made a 92% !!! He has to take oral boards in November but we are one step closer to being a board certified general surgeon.

Zoo fun

We have a yearly zoo pass so we go to the zoo at least once a week. This week it wasn't very crowded so max got to walk around without holding hands or riding in the stroller. As soon as he saw this statue he ran over and said he wanted to ride it. So, here is my son the lizard king.

My Binky Boy

One habit we have yet to break with maximus is his binky. However, he only gets it at naptime and bedtime. I keep one in the diaper bag in this holder that you see pictured above for emergency situations when we are out and about. Anyway, he got into the diaper bag the other day without me noticing and when I saw him this is what he looked like. He couldn't get the binky bag opened any further because the zipper was stuck so he turned his binky to were the nipple part would stick out through the hole so he could suck on it. I must say he is a little obsessed and I am not looking forward to the day the binky fairy comes to take it away.

Maximus and Ravyn Playtime

Now that Ravyn is more mobile maximus loves to interact and play with her. He always

has interacted with her a little but now he is definately the big brother. This is one of his favorite games to play with her. He sets his little choo choo on top of this cup in front of her and tells her to knock it off, which she promptly does. He cracks up laughing and sets it up again. He plays this game for at least thirty minutes or as long as ravyn will cooperate. He has recently started taking things from her and saying mine, but mommy promptly stopped that and told him that she did not like that word. So now, he says "that's a no no baby."

Ravyn has two teeth

So I haven't been able to get a picture of them yet so I just posted a cute pic of her at the zoo with me and max. As soon as I can snap a pic of them I will post it. She too is growing up way to fast. She has two teeth, she has been rolling all over my living room since she was four months old, she says da da. I am waiting for her to start crawling at any point now. She will be six months old next friday. It is hard to believe time flies by so fast. She just started solids this week. I am making my own baby food this time around since I am getting pretty accustomed to being a stay at home mom now. She loves her big brother so much and thinks he is the funniest thing ever. I can't say that I disagree with her on that one though.

Potty Training

Well we started Potty Training with maximus a couple weeks ago and I must say it has gone way better than I ever expected it to go. We bought him some undies and a potty watch. The potty watch can be set to go off every 30,60 or 90 minutes. It plays music and lights up. Everytime it goes off max yells potty time and runs to the potty. It is a great invention. Anyway, we no longer have to use a potty watch!! He has had no accidents for an entire week now. He only has to wear a pull up at night because he still wakes up wet in the mornings. However, we are very proud of his progress. He is growing up way to fast for his mommy's liking.

Our Pirate adventure

We went out on a pirate ship adventure our last day. It was really fun all the kids dress up like pirates and the ship goes out into the bay. We fought long john silver to get the keys for the treasure chest. We checked out the treasure map to find the hidden treasure. We got treasure out of the sea. It was a really fun filled adventure.

Carnival Fun!

We took max to the carnival and he had so much fun and was so brave. I was so surprised at all the rides he rode by himself.

Myself and the kids flew to Maryland for the week so that daddy could study for his boards. He has to take them this coming thursday so we gave him a little break and a little time to himself. Here are a few beach pics.
